Principal’s Message

Welcome Eagles and Eagle Families,

It is with eager anticipation and gratitude that we welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Aspire Capitol Heights Academy (CHA)

At CHA, our vision is clear:
Our scholars will be prepared and empowered to build a fulfilling and liberated future for
themselves and their communities.

 Empowering Minds. Transforming Futures.
We are committed to academic excellence, cultivating student voice and identity, and equipping every scholar with the tools they need to thrive in college, career, and life.

Our Goals for the Year:

  1. Ensure all scholars are engaged in rigorous, standards-aligned, and culturally responsive academic learning.
  2. Foster safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environments where every student feels seen and valued.
  3. Provide all scholars access to a team of diverse, effective professionals committed to anti-racist, student-centered practices.

Family Partnership & Engagement

We believe that student success is rooted in strong school-home partnerships. We ask for your support in helping your child:

  • Attend school daily and arrive on time, in uniform, ready to learn
  • Complete all assigned work
  • Read every day and continue developing strong literacy skills
  • Stay engaged with PowerSchool and other school communications
  • Reach out for support when needed
  • Know that you expect their best effort—in school and in life

We also welcome and value your involvement in our school community! There are many ways to volunteer and contribute:

  • Classroom support alongside teachers
  • Reading with students
  • Assisting with school-wide events and student recognition
  • Helping with outreach and family engagement
  • Participating in parent groups, the School Site Council (SSC), and monthly family events

Important Reminders
Please take time to review the Family Handbook, which outlines expectations and procedures for a successful school year. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your scholar’s teacher or contact our front office.
