Dear Families,
“College for Certain” is not just a hollow phrase or cheer. It is our life’s work at Aspire Public Schools. It is the commitment we make in partnership with commitments from our students and parents.
We want to change the opportunity equation for every family we serve by preparing them to become college bound and college ready, and our early results are promising.
So when Jennifer, one of our kindergarten students, said proudly, “I want to be a scientist and attend UC Merced,” it mattered. At Aspire, 93% of our students state that they will achieve at least a bachelor’s degree and 91% of our students report that their principal expects them to “do well academically and go to college.”
Our students will change their communities for the better, in small and significant ways. They may end violence in their neighborhoods, create a sustainable non-profit, return to teach, or reduce the number of youth with diabetes. I have that belief in all of them and I know you join me in that heartfelt wish for a brighter future.
Enjoy our website and don’t hesitate to offer your thoughts, suggestions and support.
Regards from all of us at Aspire,
